I would like to start by thanking the Saarela’s for buying "Jep", my 2019-2020 4-H steer. Raising and showing cattle, plus 4-H have always been interests/passions of mine since starting my herd at 2 years old. Outside of cattle, my other passion is training driving horses. I love seeing a young horse I started from the ground up progress into a well balanced and safe driving horse for all ages to enjoy. As for my future, I am hoping to continue raising and showing cattle and training driving horses. I would love to pursue a career in Auctioneering. I hope to get my Auctioneer License from the Western College of Auctioneering in the next 2 years and begin auctioneering at purebred cattle sales across Canada, which is something I have dreamed of doing since attending a family friend’s auction sale when I was pretty young.
